Hello, I'm Jennifer, the heart behind Note to Self-Therapy. With a personalized approach, I'm dedicated to your mental health journey. I aim to create a safe space for you to explore, heal, and grow. Let's embark on this journey together.

A little bit about me:

I have dedicated my life to helping people grow, heal, and develop. Although that path started long before any formal training, my helping career began with nursing. I had the priviledge of caring for people of all ages, stages and backgrounds. I have witnessed the first breath of new life and the last breath of many. These experiences helped me understand the duality of life and every situation, and that through pain and suffering can come tremendous growth and perspective. I believe that no one is 'broken' and that anyone can return to their authentic nature. I know this first-hand.

My path to becoming a counselling therapist started with my own painful experiences from childhood and subsequent struggles with anxiety, relationships, and discovering who I really am. Through these painful experiences I found purpose, strength, and a deeper experience and appreciation of myself and others. I've learned that events in life are on the way NOT in the way, and that life happens for me and NOT to me. I am dedicated to offereing my clients healing modalities that can truly transform their lives, all of which I have experienced myself. 

On a lighter note, I enjoy travelling, playing golf, badminton, volleyball, and pickleball. You can usually find me walking around downtown with a coffee, or in the mountains. I love connecting with people and nature. Life is about balance, and I strive for that daily.
